Northport Adoptable Pet Of The Week: Laila, Who Had 'Rough Beginning'
Laila, a 1-year-old, was found in a body shop. She was dirty, cold and pregnant, according to the shelter.

NORTHPORT, NY — Laila, a 1-year-old, is the Northport Cat Rescue Association's Cat of the Week.
She had a rough beginning to life, said Lora Wild, a volunteer with the cat rescue. Laila was found in a body shop. She was dirty and cold, and although still just a kitten herself, she was pregnant.
"Northport cat rescue was called to help this sweet girl, and off to foster care she went to have her babies in safety," Wild said. "She was such a loving and protective mother and had the most beautiful kittens. In foster care Laila proved to everyone that her place is in a warm and loving home. She loves to be pet and snuggle. She has the most gorgeous long and silky fur, and her fluffy tail is as long as she is."

Laila is spayed, has all her shots, is litter box-trained, micro-chipped and FELV/FIV negative.
