Northport Adoptable Pet Of The Week: Naiomi

NORTHPORT, NY — Naiomi was named the Northport Cat Rescue Association's Pet of the Week. She is a 1-year-old mother cat, and was called a "hero" by the association. She's now looking for a human family.

"We say hero because we believe all mothers are heroes," Lora Wild, a volunteer at the rescue, said. "Naiomi, at just a little over a year old, has been the best mom to her kittens over the last couple of months. Found outside with no shelter, she and her kittens were taken to safety by Northport Cat Rescue Association, where she was thankfully able to raise her babies with comfort and love."

Naiomi is very sweet and lovable, according to Wild. She loves belly and head rubs. She absolutely adores people and is a true lap cat.

"Although Naiomi was barely out of kitten-hood herself when she found herself a mommy, instinctively she did an amazing job," Wild said. "Now it is her turn to be taken care of and needs her furever home, where she can finally relax. This beautiful, hard-working lady deserves nothing less."

She is spayed, has all her shots, is litter box-trained, micro-chipped and FELV/FIV negative.
