Northport Adoptable Pets Of The Week: Bo-Duke And Luke-Duke

NORTHPORT, NY — Bo-Duke and Luke-Duke, a pair of 8-month-old brothers, were named the Northport Cat Rescue Association's featured pets. The Duke brothers were rescued from Commack along with their siblings.

Luke-Duke, a black kitten, has earned a reputation of being a cuddle bug. He loves to be pet and is very loving, according to Lora Wild, a volunteer at the association.

Bo-Duke also loves to snuggle, and he has a prominent "M" marking on his forehead.

"There are many wonderful legends of what that 'M' stands for on all beautiful tabby cats," Wild said. Google them — it will make you smile. But we at Northport Cat Rescue Association simply say it stands for magnificent — and that is what Bo is!"

Both brothers are very sweet and playful. They'd love their shot at a loving family.

"They are growing up in our rescue and although they are thriving, deep down they both long to settle down with a family to call their own," Wild said.

The rescue is not doing face-to-face meetings with interested families until the new coronavirus passes, but it's taking adoption applications to begin the process. Personal information won't be shared, Wild said.
