Northport HS Artists to Be Honored at Oheka Garden Party

Some of the students will perform at the Oheka Castle gala next month.

Seven of the Town of Huntington's most talented high schoolers will be awarded scholarships to continue their studies in the arts at Oheka Castle’s 16th Annual Garden Party next month.

Residents are invited to kick off the summer season in Gatsby-style attire in celebration of The Friends of Oheka Castle's 20th anniversary. The event will feature hors d’oeuvres, buffet dinner, wine, dessert, entertainment and raffle baskets.

The 16h Annual celebration will be held rain or shine on Wednesday, June 8 from 5-8 p.m.

Selected students will have their artwork displayed at the castle and some of them will perform at the gala. Each student will receive a $2,500 scholarship to continue his or her studies in the arts.

  • Dylan DelGiudice— Huntington High School
  • Aaron Feltman— Huntington High School
  • Olivia Galante— Northport High School
  • David Gabriel Lerner— Half Hollow Hills East High School
  • Emma Kowalchuk— Harborfields High School
  • Caroline Tonks— Huntington High School

The Garden Party will also honor philanthropist Caroline Monti Saladino, of Cold Spring Harbor, with the 2016 Humanitarian Award. Monti is the president of the Don Monti Memorial Research Foundation.

Friends of Oheka has raised over $125,000 for deserving students through the Garden Party, the organization’s only fundraiser.
