The Missing Vulnerable Adult Alert for an 89-year-old Northport man has been canceled. Stavros J. Danos has been located, Northport Police announced Thursday afternoon.

Northport Police have issued a Missing Vulnerable Adult Alert for an 89-year-old man with dementia who was last seen Wednesday afternoon.

According to authorities, Stavros J. Danos was last seen at his Golden Road Avenue home at 3:45 p.m. He was driving a gray 2001 Toyota Camry with a New York registration of BRK-2395. Danos is 5 feet 9 inches tall, 170 pounds, and has gray hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a black fisherman's hat, a khaki jacket and black sunglasses. He may be in need of medical attention.
Police believe he may be traveling to Queens.
