Northport Police Amps up DWI Patrols Thanksgiving Weekend

Northport Police are cracking down on drunk driving this Thanksgiving weekend.

If you’re looking to party with family members or old friends over the holiday, make sure to have a designated driver.

Thanksgiving Eve is considered one of the biggest drinking nights of the year and officers typically see an increase in drunk driving. This day is known to be one of the most dangerous times to be on the road, according to Bactrack.com.

To prevent drunk driving-related crashes and deaths, the Northport Village Police Department will have extra DWI patrols out this weekend, starting Wednesday night.
