Northport Police Blotter: Fraud Reported
ALSO: Police rescued a dog that was found outside after a home's door was left open.
NORTHPORT, NY — Check out some recent police incidents for the Northport Village area from Feb. 22 through Feb. 27.
The Northport Police Department posted the following information. All charges are accusations and do not signify guilt.

- Police on Feb. 22 helped a Hillside Place woman after her daughter had left the door open earlier that day and their dog was running around outside. Police brought the dog inside and waited for the homeowner to arrive. Police and the resident did a walkthrough of the home, and everything was OK.
- A man on Feb. 24 reported he was receiving harassing phone calls. He received calls from different numbers and when they went to voicemail, a robot voice just said "goodbye." Police told the man to block the numbers.
- A woman on Feb. 25 said she was getting unwanted texts from someone she met on a dating site. Police spoke to the person, who was uncooperative but eventually agreed to not text the woman anymore. Police told the woman that if she was contacted again, she could possibly pursue charges.
- A man suffered injuries from a fall at Chestnut Circle on Feb. 26. The man was brought to Huntington Hospital.
- A fraud was reported on Milland Drive on Feb. 26. Police did not provide other details of the fraud.
- A loud party was being thrown on Main Street around 1 a.m. Feb. 27. Police spoke with the residents, who agreed to lower the volume.
