Northport High School’s Class of 2019, and their advisors Larry Cerasi and Wayne Jensen, recently raised approximately $350 for the Make-a-Wish Foundation through their unique fundraiser, “Tape Your Principal to the Wall.”
Students were asked to donate money towards the cause and in return, they received a piece of duct tape. One by one, participants stuck Principal Dan Danbusky to a wall in the school building. This was the first year of the fundraiser and the turnout was a successful one.
“This was very much a student-initiated event,” said Mr. Jensen. “The students are eager to expand on the "Tape the Principal to the Wall" fundraiser in the future to maximize participation.”
