Northport School Celebrates Annual Fall Festival

The event featured cupcake decorating, pumpkin picking, face painting and dinosaur digging.

Students, families and teachers in the Northport-East Northport School District gathered for an evening of fun during Ocean Avenue Elementary School’s annual fall harvest festival on Oct. 21. Sponsored by the PTA, students and their families enjoyed a number of games, treats, music and raffles.

Different gift baskets were donated by community members, parents and classes and were raffled off during the event. A number of tables were set up on the field with different activities. Children participated in a variety of activities, including cupcake decorating, pumpkin picking, face painting and dinosaur digging.

In addition, many different games were set up for children to take part in. Teachers and middle school students lended a hand by volunteering at tables and helping run the games. These students gained community service hours for their hard work.
