Northport Senior Awarded $5,000 Humanitarian Scholarship

A Northport High School senior was the recipient of a humanitarian scholarship last week.

Christian Ranieri, who will attend LIU Post in the fall, received the Joseph Goncalves Humanitarian/Social Justice $5,000 scholarship.

The scholarship is offered by the New York State Insurance Reciprocal.

Earlier this year, Ranieri was the recipient of the 2017 Outstanding Youth Advocacy Award for positively influencing people in the community. He has advocated for people with special needs by influencing his community to better embrace and accept students with disabilities.
