Northport Senior James Gerdvil selected for Blue-Grey All American Football Game
High School Senior headed to Raymond James Stadium for All American Game

James Gerdvil received his invite in June 2014 from his Guidance Counselor at his High School. The letter invited him to compete in a Combine at the Sports Complex in Freeport, NY. There were players from all over the New York Area. He impressed the Coaches with his speed for being such a big guy. He stated the Combine was a great experience. He wasn’t sure what the outcome would be but He stepped up and performed to the best of his abilities. They were told that only 20% of the 150 kids would receive notice if they moved to the next level which is to attend a Super Combine for the North-East at the Pro Bowl Hall of Fame in Canton, OH in July 2014.
After competing in Canton, OH at the Pro Football Hall of Fame Stadium the waiting game started. He was going to be notified by mail if He made the Team. On September 22 the day his Great Grandmother passed away at the age of 98 the letter arrived. He was selected for the North Team to compete on January 10th at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa Florida. He will travel with his family to the game which will be televised on Fox Sports live on January 10, 2015.
