Northport Students Donate 575 Pounds of Pet Food to Those in Need

The school nearly doubled the amount of pet food donated from last year.

East Northport Middle School SHARE recently gave back to less fortunate families and their pets by collecting 575 pounds of pet food to donate to Long Island Cares.

The school surpassed their goal from last year, in which they collected 300 pounds of pet food to help families and veterans in need keep their pets as part of their families.

SHARE members made posters to raise awareness about the service project and students from all grade levels brought in food and other pet items to donate towards the cause.
