Northport to Hold Hearing on Senior Citizen Tax Exemption
6 p.m. hearing on proposed increase to annual income level qualifications.
The Northport Village Board of Trustees will hold a public hearing on proposed increases to the annual income level qualification for the senior citizen tax exemption on Tuesday at 6 p.m. in Village Hall.
The proposed changes are included in the attached PDF document. The income qualification is capped at $29,000 and would be offset by all medical and prescription drug expenses not reimbursed or paid for under insurance.
The changes would be made once filed with the Office of the Secretary of State.
