Northport Tour Choir Performs for Vets at Northport VA Medical Center
The choir performed a patriotic program for veterans being cared for in the nursing home section of the VA.

The Northport High School Tour Choir honored Veteran’s Day on Nov. 10 by sharing their music with veterans at the Northport VA Medical Center.
Under the direction of music teachers Ellen McCarthy and Nicholas Hart, the choir performed an all patriotic program for veterans that were being cared for in the nursing home section of the VA. Selections included the National Anthem, The Battle Hymn of the Republic, God Bless the U.S.A., God Bless America and the Armed Forces Salute. A few veterans in attendance sang along when their military branch anthem was sung.
“As always, it is an honor for the Tour Choir to perform for our brave men and women at the VA,” said Director of Fine and Performing Arts Izzet Mergen.
