Northport Village Releases FY 2011 Proposed Budget

The Northport Village Board of Trustees  has scheduled a public hearing to  consider the tentative budget. It will be held at , 224 Main Street, Northport, NY, Tuesday, Jan. 4, 2011 at 6 p.m. to consider the tentative budget for said Village for the fiscal year March 1, 2011 to Feb. 28, 2012.

The projected tax rate is $54.74 per $100 assessed value and reflects a 5.9 percent increase over the current tax rate.

Following the public hearing, the  board has until Feb. 1 to adopt the spending plan for the new fiscal year, which begins March 1.
