The ACT consists of tests in English, mathematics, reading and science. Each test is scored on a scale of 1-36, and a student’s composite score is the average of the four test scores.

In addition to thriving academically, Wollman is a member of the National Helpers team, volunteers at local animal shelters and is a member of the school’s tennis team, Science Olympiads, Mathletes and Knights for Nature.

Wollman plans to apply to several top colleges, with Massachusetts Institute of Technology being his top choice.

Superintendent of Schools Peter Scordo and Glenn’s Interim Principal Dr. James Ruck presented Wollman with an award certificate and a proclamation from the Town of Huntington for his perfect ACT score.

“We are extremely proud to share the incredible accomplishments of a very special young man who clearly represents all that is good about the Elwood School District,” Ruck said at a Elwood Board of Education business meeting on Thursday.
