Pet Fair at Animal Shelter

The pet fair continues Sunday at the Town of Huntington animal shelter where dogs and cats are available for adoption at reduced fees.

Families looking for pets to adopt, vendors selling everything from doggie treats to training and animal rescue groups turned out for the fair.

Buckets of ice and a small pool helped dogs keep cool.

Today, the Suffolk County chapter of the ASPCA will hold a rabies vaccination clinic; dogs can be vaccinated for $15 each. Cats coming for a rabies shot must be in a secure carrier and dogs must be on a leash.

The fair runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 104 Deposit Road in East Northport.
