Police Log: Driver Goes Into Diabetic Shock, Neighbors Shooting BB Guns

Tuesday, Feb. 28
At 1:37 a.m., police observed a man operating a vehicle traveling west on Fort Salonga Road while obstructing the flow of traffic. A traffic stop was conducted and the officer determined the man was suffering from diabetic shock. The man was transported to Huntington Hospital by Northport Rescue.

At 5:15 p.m., a 33-year-old Kings Park woman surrendered herself to police for leaving the scene of an incident.

At 12:14 p.m., a 34-year-old Northport man was arrested for disorderly conduct and resisting arrest on Fort Salonga Road.
At 1:26 p.m., a person entered police headquarters to report being struck by a vehicle on Main Street.
Saturday, March 4
At 2:28 p.m., a 37-year-old Northport man was arrested for second-degree criminal contempt (disobedience) for violating an order of protection on Woodbine Avenue.
Sunday, March 5
At 1:18 a.m., an officer was flagged down on Fort Salonga Road by a passing motorist who said their passenger was suffering from an asthma attack. The passenger appeared to be in severe respiratory distress, police say. The woman was transported directly to Huntington Hospital where she was left in the care of emergency room staff.
At 1:25 p.m., police responded to a Main Street location for the report of a man discharging BB guns. The officer advised the man about their neighbor’s concern and the man said he would cease activities for the day.
