Police Log: Drug Arrests, Reports of Woman Calling for Help

Wednesday, Dec. 28
At 12:46 a.m., a 19-year-old East Northport man was arrested for seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance after he was found to possess a quantity of concentrated cannabis and marijuana. He was pulled over on Elwood Road for illegal window tints and a defective brake light.
At 11:55 p.m., a 20-year-old Huntington man was arrested for seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance on Laurel Avenue.

Thursday, Dec. 29
At 12:30 p.m., someone anonymously reported to police they heard an elderly adult woman calling for help on Soper Avenue. Officers canvassed the area could not locate anyone in need.

Friday, Dec. 30
At 8:37 a.m., police received a report of a woman’s bank account being drafted on Scudder Avenue. The woman told police she did not give anyone permission to do so. She also said someone stole her car, which police determined was not true. The woman then told police about multiple other incidents over the past 20 years. After that, she said she was now calm and would proceed to the bank to inquire about the details regarding her bank account.
