Monday, Nov. 30

At 11:33 a.m., police reported another graffiti offense on Hill Street. Officers took photos and uploaded them to a previous case.

At 2:10 p.m., police responded to a Scudder Avenue location to investigate a report of a possible criminal tampering incident.

Tuesday, Dec. 1

At 1:06 p.m., police responded to a Main Street residence for a medical alert from inside the home. Officers tried to make contact with the person several times to no avail. Officers then heard a voice inside the home and Northport Rescue entered the residence using an axe and crowbar. Once inside, authorities still could not locate the person. Headquarters made contact with the woman and learned she was not in need of medical attention.

At 3:11 p.m., police reported a dispute between a school bus driver and a grandmother on Woodbine Avenue. Officers learned that the school bus company would not drop off any children with a person who was no listed to pick them up. The situation was resolved and the parents eventually responded to the scene.

Saturday, Dec. 5

At 10 a.m., police received a report of three black males walking up the back steps of Saint Philip Neri Parish on Main Street while acting suspicious. Officers spoke to a church employee who said an AA meeting was in session and that several people in attendance were seen walking to it a few minutes earlier.

At 8:46 p.m., police responded to a Laurel Avenue Home to investigate a smell of natural gas coming from the stove. Northport FD arrived to the location and found that a dry motor burnt out in the laundromat below the apartment.

Sunday, Dec. 6

At 10:33 p.m., police responded to a Fort Salonga Road location for a report of a suspicious male sleeping in a blue truck. The man told police he was very tired and just needed to sleep. Police observed that the man appeared to be homeless and living out of his vehicle. Officers advised the man to leave after he got some rest.

At 11:54 p.m., police responded to a Laurel Avenue location for a report of a woman crying in her apartment. Officers spoke to the woman who said she was okay and did not need any assistance.
