Police Log: Overdose Rescue, Brother-in-Law Steals Car and Expensive Watch

Thursday, Feb. 23

At 2:41 p.m., police received a report that a woman received an unwanted letter from a neighbor on Cathy Court. In the letter, the unknown neighbor said they were upset she does not recycle her cardboard boxes.

At 3:21 a.m., police responded to a Hawkins Drive location for a report of a woman who was unresponsive from a possible overdose. The officers administered two doses of Narcan and oxygen via a non-rebreather mask. Northport Rescue responded to the scene and transported her to Huntington Hospital.

At 1:04 p.m., police responded to a crash where a driver left the scene on Main Street.

Sunday, Feb. 26

At 12:54 p.m., police reported unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and grand larceny on Harbour Point Road. Police said a 2006 Nissan, valued at $3,500, was taken by the man’s brother-in-law without his permission. The man also said a $2,000 watch was removed from his home.
