Police Log: Teen Gets Stuck in Swing Set, Man Asks for Job as Mannequin

Monday, Nov. 7
At 2:52 a.m., police responded to a Belknap Drive location for a report of a man suffering from an alcohol overdose. The man, who was alert and highly intoxicated, was transported to Huntington Hospital by Northport Rescue.

At 7:03 a.m., police responded to Village Court for a report of possible electioneering going on. Officers spoke to the two subjects who were standing 100 feet from the entrance to the building. No offense was committed and the subjects agreed to not move any closer to the building.
At 5 p.m., police received a report of a teenager stuck in a toddler swing set in Village Park. Northport Fire responded and was able to get the teen out of the swing.

Wednesday, Nov. 9
At 9:45 a.m., police responded to a report of an audible fire alarm at Laurel Avenue School. A Northport Fire Chief on the scene said the smoke detector was activated by dust in the woodworking shop.
Friday, Nov. 11
At 2 p.m., police received a report that a man known as “Cal” went into the Veronica Rayne Boutique in Main Street and told the employee he wanted a job as a mannequin. The employee said Cal began to yell and throw water at her once she said no. Officers interviewed Cal in Village Park and he said he did ask for a job as a mannequin but did not yell or throw water.
Sunday, Nov. 13
At 12:17 a.m., police responded to an Annetta Avenue location for a report of a man suffering from an overdose. Officers found the man to be highly intoxicated by alcohol and drugs. He was transported to Huntington Hospital by Northport rescue.
