Police: Man Arrested for Following Teenage Girl Home in Huntington Station
The Huntington Station man was charged with endangering the welfare of a child on Monday.

A Huntington Station man who followed a 13-year-old girl home in his vanwas arrested several hours after the incident occurred Monday, Suffolk County Police said.
Authorities said a man driving a green van asked the girl if she needed a ride home near East 8th Street and continued to follow her home when she declined on Monday morning.
The teen’s mother spotted the van, which was described as old and green with wood side panels, several hours later at the corner of East 17th Street and Depot Road and notified authorities.

Blair Hackett, 62, was arrested and charged with endangering the welfare of a child. He was held overnight and was arraigned Tuesday at First District Court in Central Islip.
