Receiver of Taxes Candidate: Robert Conte

Republican candidate Robert Conte, brother of New York State Assemblyman Jim Conte, is running for the position of Huntington Receiver of Taxes against Democratic incumbent Ester Bivona.

Conte's family has called Huntington home for over 100 years. Growing up in Huntington Station, he attended Huntington High School before graduating with a degree in business and economics from SUNY Oneonta. He has been a small-business owner in Huntington for 20 years.

Conte said that he has experienced the challenges people face in this difficult economy firsthand. He vows to look for ways to save the taxpayer's money and enhance service through such improvements as extended office hours, electronic payments, and email communications, while restoring fiscal responsibility to Huntington.
