Train Hits Occupied Car in Huntington Station

Driver suffers non-life threatening injuries in crash Saturday morning.

Huntington Manor firefighters responded to a car that was struck by a train at the Oakwood Road crossing in Huntington Station around 8:30 a.m Saturday, officials said.

Firefighters extracted the female driver who was then transported by Huntington Community Ambulance to Huntington Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The MTA and Suffolk Police are investigating the cause of the accident.
