• City Of Norwich Fire Department Responds To Fire At Multi-family Home (evesun.com) — A recent fire heavily damaged a multi-family home at 6 and 6A Griffin Street in the City of Norwich, but no serious injuries were reported. City and mutual-aid fire crews quickly knocked down the blaze, assisted residents in recovering belongings, and later determined discarded campfire ashes on the rear porch accidentally sparked the flames. Officials are urging residents to check their smoke detectors and handle ashes safely.
