15-Year-Old Girl Dead at Summit Children's Residence Center
Clarkstown police had been called to an "unresponsive female" at the facility in Upper Nyack.

Clarkstown police were called to the Summit Children’s Residence Center, at 339 N. Broadway in Upper Nyack, at 6:30 a.m. Sept. 5 for an unresponsive 15 year-old-female.
The girl was pronounced dead by emergency responders from the Rockland Paramedic Service. The Rockland County Medical Examiner also was called to the scene.
This is an active investigation and the cause of death will be determined by the medical examiner, police said.
