
Dorothy M (Dotty) Larson, of South Nyack passed away on April 3, 2011 at her home. She was born October 11,1932, in Nyack to Steve and Helen E. Christos. She attended the Nyack schools, graduating in 1950 and was a graduate of Bethany College, Lindsborg KS in 1954.
Dotty met her husband, Kenneth Larson, in Kansas and they were married at Grace Episcopal Church, Nyack in 1954. Ken died in April 2000. She was also predeceased by her brother Alex Christos in 1951.
Dotty is survived by her children, Debbie McGuinness and her husband Robert of Valley Cottage, Beth Stalker and her husband Lynn of Tucson, AZ and, Stephen Larson and his partner Robert of South Nyack. She is also survived by her grandchildren Robert J. McGuinness, Jr. and his wife Kristin of Redding, CT, Kelly Star Rysedorph of Albany, NY, and John R. McGuinness and his wife Carol of New York City; great granddaughters Ella Jewell and Alexa Noelle McGuinness. She is also survived by her brother Stephen Christos and his wife Diane of White Plains, her sister in law Joan Johnson and husband J Richard of McPherson, KS. Dotty also leaves many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

Her family and friends were the highlight of her life and brought her great joy. Dotty was President of Morning Music Club of Rockland County - her second tenure as president having also served in that capacity in the early 1990s. She was a member of The Thursday Reading Class and loved her afternoon bridge games with friends. She had a great interest in the history of the Nyacks and Rockland County and was a past volunteer for the Historical Society of Rockland and a lifelong member of Grace Episcopal Church.
Visiting is scheduled for Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM at the Hannemann Funeral Home, Inc. in Nyack. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday at 11 AM at Grace Episcopal Church in Nyack. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Morning Music Club c/o Bernice Rice Gerstein 4 Baltic Ct.New City, NY 10956 or Grace Episcopal Church 130 First Ave. Nyack, NY 10960.
