August 2022 Primary: Early Voting Set To Begin In Rockland

There are three congressional primaries.

ROCKLAND COUNTY, NY — Voting in the August primary for the 2022 election starts Saturday and there are Conservative, Democratic and Republican primaries in Congressional District 17, which includes all of Rockland County, for registered voters with those affiliations.

  • The Democratic primary for Congressional District 17 is between Alessandra Biaggi and Sean Patrick Maloney.
  • Candidates in the Republican primary for Congressional District 17 are Charles J. Falciglia, Michael V. Lawler, Jack W. Schrepel, Shoshana M. David and William G. Faulkner.
  • The Conservative primary for Congressional District 17 will be between William G. Faulkner and Michael V. Lawler.

The primary is Aug. 23 and there are nine days of early voting. If you vote during the early voting period, you are not eligible to vote on Election Day. For the August primary, early voting votes will be canvassed and reported after 9 p.m. Aug. 23.

Early voting is primarily a daytime operation, though several days have afternoon-evening hours and Westchester also offers three days with earlier hours.

In Rockland County, early voting hours are:

  1. 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. Saturday, August 13
  2. 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. Sunday, August 14
  3. 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. Monday, August 15
  4. 12 Noon until 8 p.m. Tuesday, August 16
  5. 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. Wednesday, August 17
  6. 12 Noon until 8 p.m. Thursday, August 18
  7. 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. Friday, August 19
  8. 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. Saturday, August 20
  9. 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. Sunday, August 21
