Busted at Best Buy for Fake ID, Credit: Police
A 25-year-old alleged to have opened a store account at the Best Buy in West Nyack to charge $3,700 in merchandise is now in County Jail.

Clarkstown police arrested a 25-year-old for purchasing merchandise using a store credit card she had obtained using fraudulent identification.
At 1:20 p.m. May 24 the Clarkstown Police Department responded to a report of possible fraud at the Best Buy Store located at the Palisades Mall in West Nyack.
Akuudo Petrie of Brooklyn, NY attempted to purchase merchandise by opening a credit card account using a South Carolina driver’s license, police said.

The amount of her purchase was $3,700.
After a brief investigation police determined that Petrie had a fraudulent driver’s license as well as a fraudulent credit card. She was arrested and charged with criminal possession of forged instrument 2nd (felony), identity theft 2nd (felony) and grand larceny 3rd(felony).

Petrie was arraigned in Clarkstown Justice Court. She was sent to the Rockland County Jail without bail. She is due to return to court on May 27.
