Majors All-Stars Advance In District Tournament

The Nyack-Valley Cottage Majors Division all-stars stayed alive in the District 18 tournament Thursday night with a 9-8 win against West Nyack.

Nyack-Valley Cottage dropped down to the loser’s bracket earlier this week after losing to Ramapo. The win advances the team to a game tonight against Pearl River at Veterans Park in Stony Point at 6 p.m.

  • The Nyack-Valley Cottage Little League 10-11 all-stars will kick off their District 18 tournament tomorrow against Suffern. They play at Cesca Field in West Nyack at 6 p.m. and the winner advances to face Stony Point on Sunday.
  • The Junior League all-star team dropped its second game of the District 18 tournament with a 13-0 loss to Stony Point Thursday night.
  • Nyack-Valley Cottage is still in the tournament, though, and awaits the winner of Saturday’s New City-Orangetown game. Nyack-Valley Cottage will play its first game in the loser’s bracket Sunday at Veterans Park at 1 p.m.
