The Warriors turned back St. Thomas Aquinas College by a stroke in a fierce battle that was determined when Lawrence, a junior, parred the third-toughest hole on the course card in a playoff.

Senior Jay Barry and junior Nick Delango, both of Stony Point, each shot 159 for the Spartans.

STAC and Nyack finished with a team score of 614, forcing the playoff that will send the Spartans to the Super Regionals at Hershey, PA, in May.
