Tappan Zee Faces Tall Task in Jamesville-Dewitt

Tappan Zee’s undefeated Dutchmen and Head Coach George Gaine will take the defending state champions in Section 3’s Jamesvile Dewitt on Saturday in the State’s Class A Final Four.
Tappan Zee has a very experienced team and the ability to execute will be key against a very tall team. Jamesville-Dewitt’s bigs are seniors Dajauan Coleman and Tyler Cavanaugh, both players are just under seven feet tall.

Coleman is ranked ESPN’s 13th best prospect and he will be heading to Syracuse while Cavanaugh will head to Wake Forest.
Needless to say, the Dutchmen big men better play well, and the guards will need to make smart choices and be able to hit from outside if they want to hang in there with a much taller team.

Patch’s the Pearl River girls chances of winning this weekend. The Pirates will be tipping off today against Averill Park at 3:15 p.m.
