Hopperesque: Realism and Light in Photography - Exhibit Opening Reception at Edward Hopper House

Curators: Arthur Gunther and Ken Karlewicz 

An invitational group exhibition in which photographers provide their take on  the 
effects of light and realism in Edward Hopper's work. 

Arthur Gunther worked as a journalist/photojournalist for the Gannett Company. He also served as an editor of the editorial pages, columnist, and staff photographer for the Journal News for 42 years. He has published over 8,000 photographs as a photojournalist.  He exhibits his photographs at various galleries and publishes a weekly column at thecolumnrule.com

Ken Karlewicz is a documentary photographer whose work has appeared in the New York Times, American Photographer and the book America 24/7.

From 7 - 8 p.m., co-curator of Hopperesque, Arthur Gunther will speak about Hopper and photography as it correlates to the exhibit.
