IMPROV COMEDY RETURNS TO NYACK
The Elmwood Playhouse in Nyack, NY is proud to welcome back to their stage "Out of Order Improv Comedy" as part of their "Sundays at Seven" series on Sunday March 25 22nd 2012 at 7pm. Sundays at Seven is a series of arts events held approximately every eight weeks a season at Elmwood Playhouse to showcase local and regional artists, theatrical presentations and original works and introduce new audiences to the Elmwood Playhouse.
With the overwhelming positive reviews from the improv group's last appearance at the Elmwood Playhouse, the theatre has been anxiously awaiting their return. "We are thrilled to have Out of Order back at Elmwood," says Margaret Young, the series' producer. Along with showcasing new talent and theatrical pieces, the Sundays at Seven series also acts a fundraiser for the Playhouse, which hopes to conduct some major renovations and improvements in the coming months.
Out of Order Improv, currently celebrating its 6th year performing together, has been helping other theaters and organization in the NJ area raise money. Now they are excited to once again bring their unique brand wit and musical flare to Rockland County's Elmwood Playhouse. "Elmwood has always been a great place for both performers as well as audience members and have been a long time supporter of the arts in Rockland county" states Omar Kozarsky, a current member of both the Elmwood Playhouse and Out Of Order.

What is "Improv Comedy" you may ask? If you've never seen Out of Order, think of the TV show "Whose Line is It Anyway?" Improv is different from most other traditional forms of theater in that with improv, the actors make up their performances on the spot, based on audience suggestions. Out of Order consists of group members Kym Frank, Dave O'Neill, Omar Kozarsky, Jessica Prekel, Joe Guadara, Jason Victor and Musical Director, Dr. John Pierce.
The group is also asking the audience to be part of the fun. Along with the normal suggestions given by the audience, Out of Order is also requesting people attending the show bring an unusual object or "prop" from home for the performers to incorporate into one of their improv scenes.
