Fatal Fall at the Palisades Mall

Clarkstown police report a man fell from the third floor to the first floor at 10:21 a.m. today inside the Palisades Mall in the section near the Best Buy. He died as a result of injuries sustained from the fall.

Police said the 54-year-old man had with developmental disabilities and was a resident at a local group home.

His name and the name of the group home are being with held at this time pending notification of the next of kin, police said.

The cause of the fall is still under investigation. As information becomes available it will be released accordingly.
