
Clarkstown Police responded to Best Buy located at the Palisades Mall at about 5:30 p.m. July 7.
Julio Sosa-Villanueva, 24, of New York, NY was attempting to purchase four Apple iPhones using a Visa card which would not swipe at the register.
Police said the card was determined to be fraudulent. The iPhones were valued at $3,599.

The suspect was also in possession of a fraudulent Connecticut driver’s license, police allege.
Sosa-Villanueva was arrested and transported to police headquarters. He was charged with attempted grand larceny 3rd (felony), criminal possession of forged instrument 2nd (felony) and forgery 2nd (felony).

He was arraigned in Clarkstown Justice Court. Bail was set at $15,000. Sosa-Villanueva was transported to the Rockland County Jail. He will return to court on July 10, 2015.
