Memorial Day Weekend Weather: Showers Should Hold Off
Here's the latest forecast for those big holiday plans in Piermont.

A lot of people have plans to attend ceremonies and parades honoring those who died while serving in the country’s armed forces, and many others have events planned with family and friends this Memorial Day weekend,.
“After a cooler and dry start to the holiday weekend across the Northeast, warmer weather will greet most Memorial Day cookouts and activities,” said Brian Thompson, AccuWeather Meteorologist.

Saturday and Sunday will be sunny. Monday, not so much. The good news is, it appears the showers will hold off until Monday evening, and while it will be mostly cloudy there won’t be any rain during the day. Temperatures will be in the low to mid 70s on Monday.

- Friday-Partly sunny. A slight chance of showers in the afternoon. Highs in the lower 70s. Northwest winds 10 to 15 mph. Gusts up to 25 mph in the afternoon. Chance of rain 20 percent.
- Friday Night-Partly cloudy in the evening...then clearing. Lows around 40. Northwest winds 10 to 15 mph. Gusts up to 25 mph in the evening.
- Saturday-Sunny. Highs in the upper 60s. West winds 10 to 15 mph.
- Saturday Night-Mostly clear in the evening...then becoming partly cloudy. Lows in the mid 40s.
- Sunday-Mostly sunny. Highs in the mid 70s.
- Sunday Night-Mostly cloudy. Lows in the lower 50s.
- Memorial Day-Mostly cloudy. Highs in the mid 70s.
- Monday Night-Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers. Lows in the upper 50s. Chance of rain 40 percent.
