New State Police Commander for Troop F

New York State Police Superintendent Joseph A. D’Amico has assigned Major Joseph Tripodo as Troop Commander of Troop F, effective Dec. 17.

A 34-year veteran of the New York State Police, Major Tripodo was transferred from Troop L where he served as Troop Commander.

This transfer is a homecoming for Major Tripodo. He has previously served as a Trooper, Investigator, Senior Investigator and Captain in Troop F.

His command covers five counties including Rockland, Orange, Sullivan, Ulster and Greene. Headquarters for Troop F is in Middletown.

Former Troop F Commander, Patrick Regan, has been promoted to Staff Inspector and assigned to Field Command at Division Headquarters.

Troop F also welcomes back Captain Brian Shortall, who will oversee Zone 1; Lieutenant Peter Cirigliano, who has been assigned to BCI; and Captain James Michael, who will oversee Zone 3.
