The expansion of the ER, lobby renovations and a new urgent care center are well underway.

NYACK, NY — With the expansion and renovation projects at Montefiore Nyack Hospital well underway, representatives plan to host a public information meeting on Aug. 14 about the progress.
The hospital’s Care Transformation Project began in 2018 and is expected to be finished at the end of 2020.
The work includes a two-story addition to double the size of the existing Emergency Department and add more program space on a second floor. The construction also renovates and reconfigures 23,300 square feet of existing space which includes the current Emergency Department, hospital lobby, and adjacent corridors.

The addition of an adjacent urgent care center aims to provide patients with non-emergent conditions a more appropriate level of ambulatory care and access to primary care providers, reducing unnecessary visits to The Emergency Department.
The Medical Village will house a 7,800 square foot multi-specialty outpatient service center to include primary and specialty care providers and community-based support services from local service organizations.
