State and federal governments have imposed new reporting requirements so that expenditures and budgets are reported by school, by funding source (Federal, State or Local funds) and per-pupil. The goal, district officials said, is to promote financial transparency and drive conversations about fairness and equity in resource allocation among schools.
The district will hold a community forum at 7 p.m. Thursday on equity, providing an overview on the work that has been done in the past year and the development of a District Equity Plan. The public is invited to the forum at the Nyack Center, 58 Depew Ave.
