How did you come up with the name?

Because of the way that social media happens in the “now time” I considered the term synchronized but decided that Synchronous was a better way to have people understand that all aspects of your company – whatever that may be, needs to be synchronous. If you look it up in Merriam – Webster dictionary you will see that it says:

1: happening, existing, or arising at precisely the same time

2: recurring or operating at exactly the same periods

3: involving or indicating synchronism

4 a : having the same period; also : having the same period and phase

b : geostationary

5: of, used in, or being digital communication (as between computers) in which a common timing signal is established that dictates when individual bits can be transmitted and which allows for very high rates of data transfer.

Why start a business in this town?

I was born in Nyack hospital and grew up in Blauvelt. I have worked in NYC, Florida and traveled a great deal for work. I always wanted to come back to where my roots are and bring back that knowledge.

What’s the most difficult challenge you’ve faced as a business owner?

This is not the first business that I started so I have learned from the past but as any business owner will tell you it is getting yourself in the front door to show what you can do for the customers and hours, lots and lots of hours.

What’s been your proudest achievement since opening?

I believe landing a contract with a top 500 financial firm (for non-disclosure reasons I cannot tell you their name until the contract is complete).

How does your business give back to the community?

I have given advice to many of people here in Rockland to help them better understand how SEO – and Social Media are a huge part of whatever they do. A prime example is The Whiskey Kitchen in Valley Cottage.
