Orangeburg Woman Faces Drug, Driving Charges in Nyack

Police allege her license was suspended for a previous DWI charge.

Helena J. Yoo of Orangetown faces charges of driving while intoxicated, criminal possession of a controlled substance, and first-degree unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.

Orangetown police arrested her in Nyack at 4:20 a.m. Dec. 19 after observing her driving while using a cell phone.

She failed field sobriety tests and then a breathalyzer test at police headquarters. Police found her drivers license was suspended based on a previous charge for driving while intoxicated.

She was sent to the Rockland County jail on $1,000 bail.
