Orangetown Police Make DWI Arrest on S. Highland Ave. in Nyack
A Blauvelt resident was charged Dec. 21.

An Orangetown Police officer arrested a Blauvelt resident after stopping him on South Highland Avenue in Nyack at 11:40 p.m. Dec. 21.
Douglas C. Adams, 47, faces a felony charge of aggravated driving under the influence.
The charge is a felony because he has a previous DWI conviction in Orangetown in the past 10 years; and it’s aggravated DWI because his breath alcohol content registered more than three times the legal limit, police said.

Adams was stopped for driving at an unsafe speed and was found to be driving while under the influence of alcohol.
Adams is to be arraigned today in Nyack Justice Court.
