Police ID Drivers, Dead Passenger in Yesterday's Collision in West Nyack

Most are Spring Valley residents.

The collision yesterday that killed one person and left four others hospitalized was between a para-transit bus operated by Brega Transport and a VIP Ambulette.

The passenger in the ambulette was Vincent Careccio, 48, from Pomona. Careccio died.

Police identified the driver of the ambulette as Jean Saintilme, 42, from Spring Valley.

Marie Morisset, 64, from Spring Valley, was driving the minibus, police said. The bus was transporting two passengers, a 22-year-old man from New York City and a 34-year-old woman from Spring Valley.

The cause of the accident is still under investigation and no summonses have been issued, police said. The four injured in the crash remained hospitalized at Nyack Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries last night.

Route 303 was closed to traffic until almost 10 p.m.
