Army Seeks Dummy Missile Lost in Flight to New York Air Show

It seems the Army lost one on the way to Stewart Airport in New Windsor.

Startling news from the Orange and Rockland County Fire Facebook page this morning: The U.S. Army is searching the Hudson Valley for a missile.

The good news is that it’s a dummy missile.

But still—100 pounds of steel casing fell off an Apache helicopter that traveled from Fort Drum to the New York Air Show at Stewart Airport.
