Reading Shakespeare:
Two Plays - Coriolanus and Cymbeline

Thursday, July 23 at 7pm
Discussion led by Dr. David Turk

Read the Plays - See the Movies:

Coriolanus: This play is set in ancient Rome. It is essentially the story of warrior Caius Marcius (later known as “Coriolanus”) whose honor, pride and sense of social rank dominates his life and interferes with his ability to function effectively when he’s not on the battlefield.

Cymbeline: Considered one of Shakespeare’s most convoluted pieces, Cymbeline contains aspects of history, tragedy, comedy and romance.

The Movies:
Coriolanus: Thursdays, June 25 & July 9 at 6:30pm: starring Ralph Fiennes (Director), Gerard Butler and Vanessa Redgrave

Cymbeline: Thursdays, July 2 & 16 at 6:30pm: starring Ethan Hawke and Ed Harris
