Praised for her ability to “capture hearts” by Musical America, Georgian pianist Ana Gligvashvili has appeared as a soloist as well as chamber musician at various concerts venues such as Steinway Hall, Columbia University’s Faculty House and Roone Arledge Auditorium, NYC Consulate of Poland, Ukrainian Institute of America, Bohemian National Hall and NYC Consulate of Germany. Other concert venues include Subculture, NYU Frederick Loewe and Black Box Theaters, Mannes Concert Halls (New York, NY), Church of Redeemer (Morristown, NJ). Ms. Gligvashvili’s performance highlights also include her concert appearances in Germany (Buchauer Palace Golden Hall, Bad Buchau), Estonia, (Muspeade Maja, Jaani Kirik and Vene Kulturikeskus, Tallinn), Georgia (Grand and Recital Halls of Tbilisi State Conservatory), Poland and Israel.

As an orchestra soloist, Ms. Gligvashvili gave her debuts with Rishon LeZion and Evgeni Mikeladze Symphonic Orchestras (Israel, Georgia). Recipient of the second prize at Tel-Hai International Piano Concerto Competition (Israel) and Georgian Musician-Performers Competition among others, Ana is awarded Alfred Cortot’s prize for the best romantic piece at the Tbilisi International Piano Competition.

Born in Telavi, native of Georgia, Ana’s first musical impressions were of the Georgian folk song "Suliko," which inspired and influenced her early passion for music.
Ms. Gligvashvili, who has performed a wide range of standard classical repertoire, also enjoys working on less familiar and neglected piano works. With her interest for non-standard piano music, Ana has recently performed piano sonatas by Leos Janacek and Charles Griffes. She hopes to continue to expand her repertoire with works that are not often heard.

Ana Gligvashvili holds Master’s degree in piano performance from Mannes College, The New School of Music and Bachelor’s degree from Tbilisi State Conservatory, Georgia. She studied with Victor Rosenbaum, Jerome Rose and Revaz Tavadze among others. Currently, Ana Gligvashvili is a member of the adjunct piano faculty at NYU Steinhardt, where she is pursuing her post master's degree with Eteri Andjaparidze.
