Tappan Zee Outslugs Nanuet Softball

The Tappan Zee softball team pounded out 16 hits in a 13-4 victory at home against Nanuet Friday.

Kelly Connelly went 3-for-4 with a double, three RBI and two runs scored and pitcher Paulina Gutkin went 3-for-4 with a triple. Gutkin struck out eight and gave up four earned runs on 10 hits and a walk for her 12th victory, helping the Dutchies improve to 12-3, 6-1 in league play.

Danielle DiModugno, Janine Mackey, Rebecca Richards and Alana Prosapio each had two hits for Nanuet (9-9, 2-4).
