Urgent Maintenance Work May Lower Pressure, Discolor Water in Haverstraw, Stony Point, West Haverstraw

United Water will be performing urgent maintenance work on Friday, November 14, which may cause low water pressure or discolored water in the Village of Haverstraw, West Haverstraw, and Stony Point.

The discoloration is due to harmless sediment which accumulates in the water mains. While the water is safe, customers may prefer to wait until the water clears before using it for drinking, cooking or washing clothes.

United Water suggests that customers fill containers with water tonight for usetomorrow. The company apologizes for the inconvenience.
